10-Day Mount Kilimanjaro & Safari Combo
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Pre-Climb Briefing
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where your guide will meet and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. Rest and relax from your flight. In the evening, enjoy a safety briefing and gear check with your Kilimanjaro climb team.
Day 2–7: Mount Kilimanjaro Climb (Machame or Lemosho Route)
Embark on your 6-day guided trek to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro via the Machame or Lemosho Route. Trek through diverse ecosystems — rainforest, moorland, alpine desert, and glacier — as you make your way toward Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa. Summit on Day 6 at dawn for spectacular sunrise views, then begin your descent and exit the park by Day 7. Transfer to a comfortable lodge for a hot shower, celebration, and rest.
Day 8: Tarangire National Park – Elephants & Baobabs
After breakfast, begin your safari adventure with a drive to Tarangire National Park (approx. 2.5 hours). Famous for its giant baobabs and massive elephant herds, Tarangire also offers sightings of lions, zebras, and leopards. Enjoy a relaxed game drive and picnic lunch, then continue to your lodge for a beautiful sunset dinner.
Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater Safari
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a wildlife-packed caldera that’s home to the Big Five — lions, rhinos, elephants, buffalo, and leopards. Enjoy a full-day crater game drive, including a picnic by the hippo pool. Later, ascend to the crater rim or nearby Karatu for overnight at a luxury lodge.
Day 10: Serengeti Game Drive (Optional) or Return to Arusha
Option 1: If included, take an early flight or drive to Serengeti National Park for a half-day game drive and lunch. Explore endless plains and migrating herds. Then transfer to Seronera airstrip for a flight back to Arusha.
Option 2: If skipping Serengeti, enjoy a relaxed breakfast and drive back to Arusha, with optional stops at local markets or craft centers. Arrive in the afternoon and transfer to your hotel or airport for your outbound flight.
